It’s no secret that Orlando is packed with excitement, but after living in this Beautiful City for a long time, I’ve found that one of the best things to do in Orlando is escape the city for a beach day.

Even though we’re not right on the coast, a quick 90-minute drive can take you to some of Florida’s most gorgeous beaches. So, you don’t have to choose between the fun of city life and the relaxation of sun, sea, and sand—you can have it all.

And guess what? Many of them are free to enter. It’s the perfect budget-friendly day trip.

Ready to soak up some rays? Let’s dive into the best beach spots near Orlando, where you can kick back and unwind!

Living in Orlando, I’ve discovered we’re just a stone’s throw away from some fantastic beaches. With the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico within a short drive, it’s hard not to feel lucky.

If you’re in the mood for lively beach towns and surfers catching waves, head east to the Atlantic. But if you’re craving a more relaxed vibe with calm waters and beautiful sunsets, the Gulf is your spot.

I love the action on the Atlantic side, but the laid-back charm of the Gulf is hard to resist.

But no matter whichever direction you choose, you’ll discover a variety of beautiful beaches. Here’s a list of the ten best beaches near Orlando, highlighting what makes each worth your visit.
